Hello all!
I would like to get everyone up to speed on this idea for a community garden.
This Fall Falcon Hallow plans on reseeding the triangular shaped park South of Talon Way. We would like to see if there would be an interest in creating a garden in part of that area before it is reseeded.

The start up of the garden is the biggest expense of the whole process. Luckily, we have a lot of expenses covered because we have the land and there is easy access to water through the sprinklers. If you attended the meeting this June you would've heard that we currently have a reserve of funds. I believe most of the rest of our needs can be covered by donation and if we have enough support we can ask to use some reserve money for the gardens.

There are several ways we can go about the gardens. one way to keep everyone accountable would be to set up plots with a deposit along with a contract. the deposit would be refundable if by the end of the growing season the plots were left in as good of shape they were received. If the plot was not taken care of then the deposit could go into a seperate reserve to better the garden area. we could use that then to buy fruit trees or composts rollers or anything in the like.

We would love any ideas or questions and appreciate you taking time to read up on the ideas. A lot of details need to be hammered out still but before we go any further we need to see if there is enough interest before the reseeding so we don't have to pull it up.
